The Dangers of Hair Straighteners
Who saw the Dr. Oz show where he talked about the dangers of hair straighteners!? We did! !( we are totally obsessed with Dr. Oz!)We were so happy that he did this topic because a lot of people would see it and think twice (hopefully) about what they put in their hair

YARN BRAIDS!!
Last weekend my brother got married (WOOOT!) so my sister and I decided to do something different with our hair. We were getting pretty frustrated from being in our hair all the time that we wanted to get it braided, but we just didnt find the right time until the wedding (perfect excuse!) we opted for yarn braids following MsVcharles challenge to stay braided until March 2011. We are a bit behind on the challenge regarding time but this is my first set.
Here are some pics of the hair and wedding!
hmmm....
The wedding was F.U.N but the HAIR wasn't. First, it is way too tight, Tight enough that my hair is literally being torn out by the hairline...... *sigh* and it itches, well my scalp does. I just can't WAIT to get them out, I don't think I'll last three weeks with these braids.... I'll keep you all updated!

Product Review: Herbal Essences Hello Hydratration
Ok. So this review is long overdue so here it is.
On the back:
Ingredients: water, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, vanilla planifolia fruit extract, cocos nucifera (coconut) fruit extract, glutamic acid, fragrance, bisaminopropyl dimethicone, benzyl alcohol, edta, propylene glycol, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, citric acid, blue 1
i say you can never get too much of a good thing. so say hello to a deep dousing of lush hydration with my rich formula fused with orchids & coconut milk. drink up and replenish your hair's much needed moisture. it's time to be reunited with manageable, silky, smooth hair.
My thoughts:
I can't stand this stuff.
For cereal. It made my detangling time ten times longer than usual. From the moment I put this stuff in my hair I regretted it. I could not detangle my hair! It was like I never put anything in my hair at all! It didn't even get any better when I added more and more to my hair. Just to part my hair with this conditioner into sections was HELL!
The ONLY thing I liked was the smell cuz I am addicted to anything that has coconut in it. I tried it more than once to be fair, on my transitioning hair and natural hair and I got the same results. Torture. This product is just not for me, and I have to say that I am disappointed because I heard some great reviews on this product and I thought that I would get the same results, but you just have remember that everyone's hair responds differently to products.

THE perfect curls
Since my hair is still in the afro phase, I can't really tell what my curls pattern is, BUT I do see curl formation in some parts! I hair coils in the back and middle, and at the front, I have what seems to be some "S" shaped curls. I'll just have to wait until my hair grows out a little more to fully tell. I wish it were Corbins hair.... *sigh*
Here's one more look at that fab hair of his!

Unconventional Frizz Tips!
Think you’ve tried every frizz-kicking trick in the book? Think again! Here are some unique and unconventional methods of fighting frizz, even in the most humid weather:
• A natural fabric softener can be a great way to make your curls less frizzy. Simply use as any other conditioner and apply after shampooing. Keep some dryer sheets in your purse to use in a pinch and stroke the dryer sheet in a downward motion. Dryer sheets are also great for eliminating static cling.
• Apply KY Jelly just like any gel. Don’t worry: this remedy isn’t that x-rated. Use sparingly or mixed in with other products. This paste will condition each hair strand section by section; simply smooth through curls with your fingers. Rinse, and behold silky, restored, beautiful hair. You can also apply to dry hair to define curls and smooth frizz.
