Merry Christmas Part 2

After my Christmas eve dinner, I headed back to Geneva to attend another dinner with my Jamaican friend Nadine. We spent the day prepping and yes I still snuck food when no one was looking, and I made samosas for the first time! and they tasted great!

 I had so much cake that I started having it for breakfast! I had to share it with my landlady, and had it with Turkish coffee. #sharingiscaring #whyshouldIbetheonlyonegainingweight?

I forgot to mention in part 1 that Ms. Al gave me PLENTY food to go home with and she hooked me up with this awesome Scotch Bonnet Pepper Jelly! #blessherLord! like no joke it's now the 3rd of january 2013 and I am still eating christmas food!

  New Years day was da bomb because I spent it with Nadine and some other jamaicans and had banging Escovich fish with my favorite side dish of all time...FFFFFESTIVAL!!!!!

*speaking in tongues* couldn't be happier at this point, and yes, I was sent home with festival dough so I can fry some up whenever I want plus more fried festival and tamarind balls. I can't tell you how blessed I am for the great people I have in my life! I started my new year off in church and with good company and food. How was yours?

Merry Christmas!

Hey peeps! I trust you holidays were fabulous like mine! This was my first christmas in a foreign land so I was sure that I would not have enjoyed it but I was wrong! I spent the time in Rolle with some great Jamaican friends and food! My foster parents had a small get together at their place and made duck, pork (turn your face away Jesus!) with Jamaican rice and peas, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and sweet potato salad with plantains..... whew! so you KNOW I got my belly full! and yes I gave the vegan lifestyle a break for this day and indulged A LOT!

 We had four cakes, yes four for dessert

 and guest which cake was the first to go?? yup the Jamaican christmas cake!

See that empty bottle? Ms. Al had a great sparkling Lychee wine (thank GOD it was just sparkling cuz that was my third bottle! #yesIhadthreebottlesbymyself #dontjudgeme

 I had a great time and I am so thankful for the great friends I have here!

and I got presents! Ms. Al gave me much needed socks and a bible #thankyoujesus
