ACV ( apple cider vinegar ) Rinse

Ok... so I was a little skeptical about doing this. When I first read about the rinse on forums I thought these women are crazy for putting VINEGAR in their hair! so I heard that it helped with cleansing the scalp, giving shine etc... but I was still pretty skeptical.

Well the other day my sis and I were doing a little shopping and she came across this:

I was like NOOO, but she picked it up anyways and washed her hair with it the moment we got home.....let me tell you, when she walked into the room I almost gagged! ugh it was awful! the smell....... and on top of that, it didn't really do much for her hair. I thought to myself "ha! you should have listened to me and left the vinegar right where you found it!"

But curiosity got the better of me , I picked it up off her table and decided what the hell! it must be good if other naturals talk about? ( that is not how I normally think! what works for others may not work for you) so I mixed some in a little bucket, I don't even know how much I mixed in, I just poured until I was satisfied! (yeah not good) I think it was 50/50....

OMG THIS STUFF IS GOOD! it made my curls POP! and my scalp feeling GREAT! love it!! it realy cleansed my scalp without making it feel like all the natural oils have been stripped away like shampoo normally does.

Verdict: I will definitely be adding ACV Rinses to my routine! just have to figure out how to get rid of the smell...

Deep Treatment #2

So I did another deep treatment on Friday, this time I used my modified conditioner (I added glycerin to it)

My hair has been getter better. I have less shedding and my hair feels a lot stronger than before, so I'm definitely going to be deep conditioning every week.

Can you see some relaxed ends?

Deep Treatment

After taking my braids, I decided that I needed a deep treatment, so I went out and bought Organics by Africa's Best Olive Oil Deep Condioner.

I love their products, especially the gel (fantastic!) so I knew that this would be good too. I decided to deep condition overnight so I added some coconut oil to the mixture.

I added the mixture to my hair and put on a plastic bag (I couldn't find my conditoning cap) and went to sleep!

My hair the next day

When I rinsed out the conditoner

My hair was soft when I took off the plastic bag and easy to comb through. I rinsed it out with my vo5 shampoo/glycerin mix

My hair after I washed it

My hair felt a bit dry, and my ends were a bit hard to comb through. I think that the coconut oil was a bit much for me, so I used my castor oil on my ends.

MUCH better!

Thick much?

One thing that I can say is that my hair has grown a bit.

Before

After

Can you see which side I sleep on most? ^^

I will try the deep conditoner again without the coconut oil and see the results. But I ran out of castor oil because I use it whenever I don't have gel (it gives me the same effect). Until my next deep condition!

My Braids

I got my braids installed almost a month ago. AND I DESPERATELY Want to take them out! I thought that I would keep them in for like a month or two, but the moment I got them I wanted them out. They itched my scalp like nobody's business and after two weeks my natural hair started poking out of the braids, and  a lot of them fell out.

first one to come out

it hasn't been a month and see how many fell out!

I want them out... can't you tell?

Now my hair just looks frizzy, but I want it grow out without me constantly in my hair all the time, and ppl tell me I looked better with the short hair, I totally agree! I think I'll take 'em out by the weekend and wear other protective styles.
