My Hair Story
From what i can remember ive always had relaxed hair,it was the one thing i could not live without was my straight long hair.
Born in kingston, jamaica 1992.part of my childhood i had thick hard to manage natural hair, not really remembering my days with natural hair my mom told me stories of how it was hell dealing with my type of hair, she would say i broke tonnes of combs and spent hours to dry, so she got fed up having to struggle with my thick hair and i was introduced to the famous JUS FOR ME RELAXER! . i loved it so much it was like my medicine i had to have evry 6 weeks.i used to frown upon natural hair saying its too "nappy" for me and it looks hard to manage until 2 months ago i waited for my hair to grow out so when i relaxed it,it would get longer but i realized how pretty my natural hair really is.For 10 yrs ive had relaxed hair and it is the best thing ever, but now im inspired to go back natural although my mother is not a big supporter of it cause of the pain she went through to maintain it.
Now im in the transition process for 3 months and im still have my doubt moments but Patience is key when transitioning. I get lots of support from family ( Jo Jo & criskels) and from fellow bloggers and other black women who are transitioning and also inspired from all the different hair styles.
This is why we are inspired to do this blog. thanks for following :]
