Deep Treatment #3

Ok so I missed my deep treatment on the week-end, I just didn't have the time so I threw on some aloe vera juice and a plastic bag for the day. My hair felt soft and the cuticles sealed. I did the same thing on Monday, but this time I added some Free Me Freesia to the mix and I got some good results. I have not pulled out the braids I have in but soon cuz I look like i'm locking!

Peace.

A Blast from the Past

Hey Y'all  so recently I've noticed alot more persons are deciding to join the rest of us on this in embracing our natural hair. a few of my friends in particular who thought I was mad for cutting my own hair, has now realized that in the end this is the way to go and therefore I'm so excited there asking me all these questions about natural hair.

So Just to remind you our followers and to show new comers where I am coming from in my Journey and where I am now. I want to be a inspiration for those out there that want to cut that hair off and start anew but are not sure where to start or how to start.

Just Do It!!

Deep Treatment #2 (29th July, 2012)

Hey guys, This is my second deep treatment and I have to say.... it was a disaster.

I shampooed first with a V05 clarifying shampoo then put in the deep treatment.

The Deep Treatment:

I mixed egg with my V05 Free Me Freesia and it was disgusting.  (It looked like cottage cheese) It was all watery and lumpy. I put it in my hair left it in for a few hours ( I smelled sooo raw -_- ) maybe I didnt put enough conditioner in the mixture.... ( I didn't take a pic of the mix)

Then I used ACV (Apple Cidar Vinegar)

OK, this was where it got tricky. I washed out the deep treatment then did the ACV rinse. My hair still had egg in it and it smelled horrid! I had to shampoo again to get it all out ( complete disaster) I shampooed my hair twice with a clarifying shampoo ( it was the only one I had) and the ACV is a clarifying agent itself so I clarified like three times!

Moving on.....

I put in my Aloe Vera gel and twisted my hair bigger than I normally do so that I can pin them up and tuck in the ends. My hair felt softer even after triple clarifying but next time I'lll have to mix the aloe vera gel with something else like the Kimmaytube Leave-In to give me some definition ( I looked like I had dreads)

You see the white stuff, Thats egg! I was still picking it out while I twisted my hair!

The gel I used, it has citric acid in it, great for ph balance.

 A quick length check....looking good!
The citric acid in the aloe starting to clump up my curls
It did not come out right but i"ll get it next time

Final verdict: I will never use egg in my hair again! it is the second and last time! and the first time wasn't even better than the last!. BUT... my hair does feel better than it normally does. I'll be trying oil rinses next to help with the single strand knots. Catch you next time!

First RopeTwists

Hey Lovelies ... So I decided to do mini twist in my hair this week ,on Monday and I usually start in sections so by Monday night I had finished the first section of my hair. Then I noticed that the way I was twisting It didn't look smooth and shiny and you all know how we like our hair to always be smooth and shiny. So I did a little research on rope twist and it was Ahhmazin, The difference between the two hair techniques ..I  just had to try it.

First try ...I failed ( not to worry everyone does) . Second try ...failed , I said OK It's a bit challenging so I'll just keep trying Third ,Fourth ,Fifth try Failed! now I was pissed! ... I tried one last time and if I failed I would just give up. But to my surprise I got It , I finally got It !

It took me Three Days to complete it and a little hand cramping but the Results are just Gorge!

Deep Treatment

Hey y'all I did my first deep treatment and I have to say my hair feels GREAT! I did it four days ago and my hair is still soft! Here's what I did:

  • I mixed my Aussie conditioner

  • Organix Coconut Conditioner

  • My Organics by Africas Best Hair Mayo

    • The Mixture

I slept on it overnight and the results were awesome!  Soft hair sorry I dont have anymore pictures to show but I will next time. I might change it up a bit because I didn't like how to Hair Mayo had bits of "chunks" in it, it took a while to wash them out.

Overall it was a good start to my hair care routine change. I'll keep y'all posted.
